Back when I was in high-school I really liked Classic Rock music. The radio in my first car was tuned to WDVE 102.5 and in my CD player I would have the Led Zeppelin Box set and other great rock CD's. However somewhere back in the early 90's (perhaps earlier) or so they just stopped making any type of rock music.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. Since I moved to a new neighborhood my old gym is too far away to drive to for my morning workout so I decided to look for a new gym. I looked at a couple places but I decided to pick the one closest to my new house since then I would be more likely to actually go and excerise vs. blowing it off due to waking up late or some other lousy reason.
I have noticed at my new gym where I spend about an hour of every weekday they only place one type of music in the morning. Classic Rock. While I like Classic Rock I am starting to get a little tired of it. You keep hearing the same 10 artists over and over again. A sample is: Rod Stewart, AC/DC, The Who, etc. I am even starting to hear songs by those artists that I never heard before but I recognize the voice. Classic Rock, Classic Rock, CLASSIC ROCK! Yikes! Even at Ballys they would mix it up a little. I didn't like the music as much when they put the top 40 on every so often but it was a change of pace.
I think it might be time to replace my broken Ipod to create my own little music oasis in the ocean of Classic Rock at my new gym!
