This past Saturday my wife had to go to a baby shower at Noon on the other side of town. This meant that I was in charge of the baby from the morning to the late afternoon.

It was a good day.

We are trying to get her on to an eating, playing, napping and sleeping schedule. We are also pursuing the holy grail of all babies: Sleeping through the night all the time. Not quite there yet.

Saturday went like clockwork! Every 3 hours we did eating, playing and napping in that order. She didn't fuss hardly at all and she had 3 good naps. Also slept well last night as well (which was the night after I was with her solo for the day. Took her for a nice long walk in the stroller in the morning since it was beautiful out and also had a drink on my porch while she was napping in the afternoon. In addition I actually managed to clean the house a bit, got a shower, and caught up on TV during the naps.

Piece of cake! Maybe I should be a stay at home dad. SAHM's seem to have it pretty good as far as I can tell.
